“Best Pho U is definitely the best pho I’ve ever had in suburban Chicago! The soup base was endlessly fresh, the beef was tender and fragrant, and served with fresh bean sprouts and basil, perfectly reminiscent of my trip to Vietnam. The spring rolls are excellent, the shrimp is plump, and the dipping sauce is sweet and sour. The waiter is very considerate and will recommend dishes patiently. “When I moved to Vernon Hills, I was struggling to find good takeout until I found the Best Pho U! Their Banh Mi is superb – the bread is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the pickled radish and char siew are just right. The curry chicken rice was also a surprise, with a strong coconut flavor but not too sweet. It was served quickly, packed carefully, and the soup wasn’t spilled. Now I order it at least once a week and never get tired of it!”
